Contact

Contact from Play'N GO is a visually stunning slot that offers an exciting theme. This game takes place among ancient Mayan temples and a ton of Mayan masks to match that. The game offers up to five reels, but there are no specific paylines. Instead, this slot uses the cluster pays mechanic to help players score those important wins. In order to get a win, five or more symbols need to be landed in one of these clusters. Better yet, this slot is actually optimised for use on mobile devices. In fact, it's perfect for playing in portrait mode while out and about. There are a lot of additional bonus features available in this game, too. These all contribute to some big-win potentials with a max win of 1517x the initial stake.

What Contact is all about

Contact has a lot going for it in terms of the extra features that are found within the slot. As a starting point, it has the cluster pays mechanic, which sets it apart from other games. Additionally, there is a cascading reels feature in place, giving more wins when a winning combo lands. If this wasn't enough, there is also a multiplier feature that builds on any winning clusters. Finally, there's the Bonus Round and Super Bonus Round features. Each of these offer up a number of different features. The first of these is the bonus spins, but there are also multipliers to come into the game as well. The Super Bonus Round also contains three different special features, including more multipliers, upgrades and even more bonus spins to push for big wins.

Win Multiplier Feature

On the reels are nine symbols — five low-paying animal carvings, and four higher-paying Mayan masks. When you land winning clusters, the important thing here is that the non-winning symbols are the ones that are removed. The winning symbols actually move down and lock in place. This means that new symbols can then fall into place and potentially add to those winning icons that are already there. This continues until no more wins can be made. On top of this, there's the Win Multiplier Feature. When the 2nd, 4th or 6h rows contain winning symbols a multiplier of 2x, 3x or 4x is added. These all boost any wins made. However, if winning clusters land and these go all the way up to the top row, the Bonus Round feature is activated by the slot.

Bonus Round

There is a lot going on when the Bonus Round kicks off. Initially, this feature starts off by offering up three bonus spins to use. Excitingly, in a similar fashion to the base game, any winning clusters will remain for the entire duration of the bonus spins. This means that the winning potential is increased. Additionally, filling rows 2, 3, 5 or 6 with winning symbols means multipliers of 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x will be applied. Filling rows 1, 4 or 7 with winning icons will trigger one of three special features. These include the Block Destroyer where one multiplier block is destroyed, allowing more to fill in and increase the multiplier. There's the Symbol Upgrade, which upgrades one winning cluster to the next high-paying icon. Finally, the Extra Bonus Spins feature awards an additional spin.

Super Bonus Round

To kick off the Super Bonus Round, the grid must be filled with winning symbols. Similar to the Bonus Round, the features and rewards in the Super Bonus are very much the same. The difference is that they are bigger. Once this feature activates, there are six bonus spins awarded, not three. Filling the same rows of 1, 4 or 7 with winning symbols will also trigger the same three special features, but these are stronger. Here, the Block Destroyer Feature destroys three multiplier blocks and increases the multiplier up to 30x. The Symbol Upgrade feature upgrades all winning clusters to the next high-value icon. Finally, the Extra Bonus Spins feature awards three bonus spins. Managing to fill the grid with winning symbols before the bonus spins end grants 25x the bet on the last bonus spin.

Summary

Contact is a pretty epic slot on so many levels. As a starting point, this game is visually stunning and offers a unique look into the ancient Mayan world. The game contains two distinct bonus features and each of these offers a wealth of bonus spins, cascading reels, multipliers and upgrades. With all these in place, there's a pretty big max win to be had too, though it can be hard to trigger. The game is also fully mobile compatible, which makes it perfect for playing out of the house. Lastly, the game offers an RTP of 96% which makes it just above the industry average, but this does come with a rather impressive, but high volatility level.
