Betting on T20 Blast with Casumo

No matter what purists say, truth is that the T20 format is the lifeblood of world cricket today. No foreign tour is complete without its quota of T20Is and the T20 World Cup, too, generates a level of excitement few other things can match in a cricket calendar.

It’s suffice to say that cricket without T20s will be like a pizza without topping, a car without wheels or a gun without bullets.

For all of this, we have to thank one tournament that ushered the area of T20 cricket. That tournament, ladies and gentlemen, is the Vitality T20 Blast, which was the first national-level T20 tournament. Its success, pattern and format has been replicated world over and spawned many a clones, some of which have eclipsed it in terms of popularity and money but T20 Blast should still get its share of attention for what it’s done.

The league out of England features prominently in Casumo’s cricket coverage. We cover the T20 Blast season every year and offer a wide range of betting markets for our valued customers.

T20 Blast – where it started, where it is today

Of all the franchised T20 leagues that Casumo covers, T20 Blast is the oldest as it began in 2003 – way before it was cool or even made sense. The purists were all riled up but the England and Wales Cricket Board had to do it to revive an ailing sport and boost attendance.

Of course, T20 Blast was known as something different when it began and has been renamed many times and could have a brand new name in the near future as its deal with title sponsor Vitality runs out soon.

T20 Blast, in addition to being the pioneering T20 league, is also the biggest in terms of size, and has 18 participants. But since 18 is too big a number for round-robin format, teams are divided into regions, with the top teams advancing to the knockout stages, which here comprise the traditional quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final.

T20 Blast on Casumo from betting perspective

The 2021 T20 Blast is still a month away and so its betting markets on not just Casumo but most of the books are still under works. They should be out soon though as the tournament is scheduled to begin June 9.

To begin with, Casumo will offer the standard outright bets, through which our players will be able to bet on who they think would win the entire tournament.

But prior to the tournament kickoff, Casumo will also present odds for individual matches for gamblers who do not want to make a big commitment and would like to keep their cash tied up to short-term events.

Let us also give you a general guideline for betting on T20 Blast so you are best equipped to winning your bets and accumulating profits.

Keep in mind that T20 Blast is the largest national level T20 tournament in the world and so predicting such events are always a difficult proposition.

A basic rule is to keep track of the sides that had done well in the latest edition of the tournament. Thus, in this case, Surrey and Notthinghamshire would warrant closer looks. Both the teams have hard-hitting locals opening for them, with Notts possessing Alex Hales and Surrey having Jason Roy.

Sussex could be in for a deep run, too, as they have an interesting mix of very useful players, including Phil Salt, Luke Wright, Tymal Mills, Ravi Bopara and David Wiese.

Somerset’s batting could be their main asset if they manage to bring in Pakistan skipper Babar Azam for a third straight season and Tom Banton continues to hone his craft.
