Diamond Fruits

Diamond Fruits sounds like a vintage slot machine. If you only catch a glimpse here and there, it may even look like a retro slot. But once you launch the game and click the big green ‘Spin’ button, you’ll realize that Diamond Fruits is nothing like you have ever played before.

What is the Diamond Fruits Slot?

Classic slot machines usually combine juicy fruits with striking symbols like diamonds or golden bells, the latter of which typically act as the main symbol. Diamond Fruits is no exception to this rule. You will find the usual cornucopia of flavourful fruits, including a Plum, Watermelon, Pear, Orange Slice, Lemon, and Blueberries. There is also a Diamond, and it follows tradition by triggering the game’s biggest payouts. But this is where the similarities with classic slots end and Diamond Fruits takes a unique turn. Just take a look at these features:
  • Wild
  • Wild Cannon
  • Megaclusters
  • Fourway Reactions
  • Bonus Spins

Diamond Fruits Features

Diamond Fruits was developed by the genius minds at Big Time Gaming, the same development team that introduced Megaways to the world. You know you’re in for something special when these guys are in charge. So, without any further delay, let’s dive into those unique features:

Megaclusters and Fourway Reactions

The Megaclusters feature is similar to Megaways, but it works a little differently. Instead of rows and reels, it creates clusters, inside which there are a number of symbols.  Initially, there is a 5x5 square, but every time you spin, between 7 and 25 positions can reveal either a large symbol or four smaller ones.  To trigger a payout, you need at least 5 of the same symbols to connect. When this happens, the Fourway Reactions feature will take effect. Fourway Reactions removes winning symbols from the game screen, slides existing symbols into their place, and then adds new symbols. Smaller symbols will always be used to replace winning clusters. If a large symbol is part of a winning cluster, for instance, four smaller ones will take its place. If there is another win, this feature triggers again, and it continues to trigger until there are no more payouts. Megaclusters and Fourway Reactions can seem a little confusing to begin with, but it doesn’t take long to get used to. Just think of it as a Megaways game with Tumble/Cascading Reels, only instead of paylines, rows, and reels, you’re dealing with clusters of varying sizes.

Wild and Wild Cannon

The Wild symbol is represented by a glittery, rainbow-coloured ball with the word ‘Wild’ emblazoned across the middle. It substitutes for all other symbols in the game so it could help you to complete those big wins. There is also a Wild Cannon, and this triggers after three reactions. The Wild Cannon fires between 5 and 15 Wilds on the reels. It’s a random process and it’s one that can occur in the base game and the Bonus Spins feature.

Bonus Spins

When you trigger 8 consecutive reactions in the base game, you will be given 8 Bonus Spins, plus one more spin for every additional reaction. For instance, if you trigger 12 reactions, you’ll get 12 spins. Both Megaclusters and Fourway Reactions remain active during the Bonus feature. A Multiplier is added to the reels at the start of the feature and this grows by 1x with every reaction. There is no limit to how high this Multiplier can climb, so as long as those reactions keep triggering, the Multiplier will keep growing. If you trigger 8 reactions during a single Bonus Spin, an additional 3 spins will be added to your total, along with one more spin for every extra reaction.
