La Liga Betting Preview Casumo

We know what you are thinking, La Liga has just started and Real Madrid are already leading the way. Don’t let the rankings fool you, because their style has been being more boring than listening to a game of chess on the radio. They need a convincing win this week while Barcelona play a brick wall and Atlético need to win or risk dropping out of the title race.

Madrid need a big win

Do you remember when Madrid had Cristiano and they won almost every home game by four goals or more? Well those days are OVER. These days it’s harder to see a big win at the Bernabéu than to see Eden Hazard arrive first at training. They’ve made no new signings while Bale and James have packed their bags for the beloved Premier League. Have the goals dried up at Madrid? The humble Cadiz will find out the hard way it seems as we predict a goal glut!

Consider giving a -3 goal handicap to Real Madrid at 4.80

Barcelona to suffer against Getafe

If there is a team that knows how to defend in La Liga, it is Getafe. Jose Bordalás’ boys are not known for their “joga bonito” but if there was an award for the best bus-parkers in the league, it would be theirs. But no matter how much Getafe employ an 8-1-1 formation, Barça always have the wild card of Messi. His presence is enough to distract opposition players who will be justling to get his jersey at the end of the game, rather than worrying about how to stop him. I know that right now you are thinking that we are going to recommend that you bet on a Messi goal, but Koeman’s lethal weapon now isn’t only Messi. Goals can come in from anywhere, including Philippe Coutinho who is at 7.50 to score first!

We think Coutinho will score the first goal at 7.50.

Capital letters and an exclamation point… you know we’re serious about this. After three games, Atleti have won one and played two goalless draws. When your team boasts the €120 million Joao Feliex, as well as Diego Costa and Luis Suarez, it’s all a little odd. They are enduring a dry spell which has to end at some point. Sorry Celta Vigo, you might be at the wrong end of a goal surge. We do not know who will score in Balaídos, what we do know is that Atlético have to win!

Betis v Real Sociedad: The duel of the surprise packages!

After five weeks of La Liga, we’re all a little surprised that Real Betis and Sociedad are in second and third place respectively. Sure we’ve only just begun but a win in this game is more than just three points. You get the sense that the winner here can end up being the league’s surprise package. Predicting who will win is harder to predict than the team that won the Premier League in 2016 (yes, we’re still in love with that Leicester side.) Their last outings saw both teams score three so were hoping for goals galore here!

We’re hoping for over 2.5 goals here at 1.82
