International Women’s Day at Casumo: 5 interviews with 5 power women.

International Women’s Day 2020: Meet Sara, our Casino Manager

In celebration of the upcoming International Women’s Day 2020 on March 8, Casumo asked five of their in-house power women a couple of questions about their role within Casumo and the women they admire. In this second interview we’re chatting with Casino Manager Sara, our very own walking and talking online casino games encyclopedia.

Hi Sara!

Even though Sara is busy, busy, busy, she managed to free up a bit of time for us in her Google calendar, almost spilling her coffee as she rushes into the meeting room.

Casumo: “How long have you been with Casumo?
”

Sara: “I joined Casumo mid-2016, so I’m closing in on 4 years now.”

Casumo: “What do you do at Casumo?”

Sara: “I’m a Casino Manager.”

Casumo “What are you most proud of having accomplished within Casumo?”

Sara: “There’s plenty of Game Studios that we managed to add to our portfolio over the last 2 years which I’m greatly proud of as well as all the amazing exclusive titles we released. Jammin’ Jars was one of my favourite exclusive games which we released back in 2018 – an immediate success from day one!

I am faced with new challenges and projects every day, from regulatory changes, to encouraging a safe gaming environment, to keeping up with new trends and game mechanics. It definitely keeps me on my toes and I absolutely love it!”

Casumo: “Which woman do you admire the most?“

Sara: “I’ll be cheeky and go with my mom. She’s the rock of our family and has always been a great support to me, both in my personal life and career wise. All moms deserve some extra love.”

Casumo: “Which female athlete do you admire the most?”

Sara: “Growing up, our family has always played golf and I used to follow the LPGA tour and of course, the Solheim Cup. Annika Sörenstam was huge back then, but also Laura Davies, Lotta Neumann & Suzann Pettersen.”

Casumo: “If you could choose to be a female slot character for a day, who would it be and why?”

Sara: “Oh, that’s a hard one! There’s so many great games out there with strong female characters: Sakura Fortune, Carnival Queen & Magic Mirror Deluxe II, just to name a few (apologies, occupational hazard). However, I would pick a more classic slot, Immortal Romance from Microgaming for example. Amber is my obvious choice when picking free spins; because of the 5x multiplier and the fantastic music, which in fact, I have also set as my ringtone!”

Casumo: “Haha, another occupational hazard is it?! Thanks a lot for sharing Sara, we love your passion for the job!”
