Eye of Horus

Explore ancient Egypt courtesy of Blueprint Gaming and Eye of Horus, a slot based on the Egyptian god of the sun.  This 10-payline slot was launched back in 2016 on the wave of an ancient Egyptian obsession that has yet to die down in the online gambling industry. It has a maximum payline payout of 500x and a stake range of between £0.10 and £100.

What is the Eye of Horus Slot?

Eye of Horus adopts a simple layout, with Egyptian-style symbols (including Ankhs and Scarabs) spread across a 5x3 game screen.  There are 10 paylines and you can play as few or as many of these as you want, using the “Change Lines” button at the bottom of the reels to adjust. Next to this, you’ll find the “Change Bet” icon, with the “Spin” and paytable a little further to the right. Eye of Horus is fully mobile compatible and should work with most devices.  The reels are set against the walls of a pyramid, which means the symbols represent the same iconic symbols seen inside pyramids throughout Egypt. These don’t change much, but you'll see a bright light emanating from behind the reels and lighting up the borders on occasion. Some of the game’s features include:
  • Bonus Spins
  • Wild Wins
  • Expanding Wilds
  • 500x Max Win

Eye of Horus Features

Eye of Horus is not a feature-heavy slot, so it’s fairly easy to play. Simply hit “Spin” and watch those reels turn. If you need any assistance, you can find additional rules in the game’s paytable. Alternatively, see below for more details on the site’s features:

Wild

Horus, the sky and sun god on which this slot is based, serves as the Wild symbol. This symbol substitutes for all regular symbols and appears in both the main game and the Bonus Spins round. As you would expect for a symbol depicting a mighty deity after which the slot is named, Horus is a pretty powerful and important symbol.

Bonus Spins

The Scatter symbol is represented by a Golden Door. If you reveal three or more of these symbols anywhere on the reels, you’ll trigger the Bonus Spins feature and a total of 12 Horus Bonus Spins. If you reveal the Horus Wild symbol during any of these spins, there’s a chance it'll cover an entire reel, at which point you can add more spins to your tally. One Stacked Horus reel provides 1 extra spin; 2 of these reels give you 2 more spins; 3 of the wild reels trigger an extra 5 spins. The Horus Wild can also upgrade other symbols during the Bonus Spin round. you'll see these symbols and upgrades at the top of the reels, but it effectively means that it'll improve the payouts of all symbols except for the basic playing cards (A, K, Q, and J). It doesn’t impact the Eye of Horus symbol or the Scatter.

Max Payout

As far as the Bonus Spins feature is concerned, it doesn’t really matter if you reveal 3, 4, or 5 Scatter symbols—you'll always get 12 spins. But those Scatters also come with instant win payouts, and the more that you reveal, the bigger that payout will be. Reveal 5 Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels to trigger the game’s maximum payout of 500x, turning a £1 stake into a £500 win. This payout will be made after the resulting Bonus Feature has finished. The Eye of Horus symbol also awards a 500x payout, though this must appear consecutively on a single reel.

Summary of Eye of Horus Slot

Ever since Howard Carter descended the famous 16 steps and entered the previously sealed tomb of Tutankhamun, the western world Comment star has been obsessed with ancient Egypt. And it has been extended to the iGaming sector, where you’ll see it on countless slot machines, casinos, sportsbooks, and table games. Eye of Horus is another in a long line of these games, and it explores many of the same elements, including scarab beetles, ankhs, ancient hieroglyphs, and features that take players into dark and mysterious tombs. This Blueprint Gaming has just 10 paylines, but it comes with a 500x max win, a Bonus Spins feature, and a familiar theme.
