Book of the Fallen

If you have ever fancied a little wander through the sands of time, Book of the Fallen brings a cheeky twist to the classic Egyptian theme. It is another chapter in the life of John Hunter, our favourite explorer who seems to spend more time in tombs than in his own living room. At Casumo, we believe in filling those in-between moments with a bit of play, and this slot does exactly that without overcomplicating things.

The game is set against a backdrop of ancient stone and flickering torchlight, giving you that dusty tomb atmosphere without the actual sneeze-inducing dust. You will be playing on a standard 5x3 layout with 10 paylines. It’s simple, direct, and doesn’t require a degree in archaeology to understand. Symbols include the usual suspects: golden Tutankhamun masks, Anubis statues, and John Hunter himself, looking as dapper as ever in his fedora.

Choosing Your Path

What makes this specific journey stand out is how the Extra Spins feature works. Usually, in these types of games, the slot picks a symbol for you. Here, you get to be the boss. When you land three or more Book symbols, you enter the bonus round and get to choose which symbol will act as your expanding symbol. It’s a nice little touch of agency that lets you decide if you want to go for the high-value Hunter or stick with something a bit more frequent.

During the round, that chosen symbol will expand to cover the entire reel whenever enough of them land to form a win. It’s a smooth mechanic that keeps the pace steady. We’ve found it’s a great way to enjoy a quick session while waiting for the kettle to boil or during a commercial break. The focus is always on the simple joy of the spin.

A Friendly Experience

The visuals are crisp and the soundtrack is exactly what you’d expect—mysterious but not distracting. It’s a polished piece of entertainment that doesn’t try too hard to be anything other than a good time. Whether you’re a fan of the series or just like the look of a golden book, it’s a solid addition to our collection. If you’re ready to see what’s inside the tomb, you can sign up at Casumo and give it a whirl.

Remember, the goal is always to have a bit of fun. Only play with what you are comfortable with and keep the experience lighthearted. Always play responsibly and take breaks when needed.
